PIKE COUNTY AGRIBUSINESS AUTHORITY IS SEEKING COMPETITIVE BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE

MULTI-PURPOSE COVERED ARENA FACILITY AT CHESTNUT OAK

Pike County Agribusiness Authority is seeking competitive bids for the construction of the Chestnut Oak Covered Arena Facility. Completion date of October 30, 2019. The detailed specifications and preliminary drawings are available for download by email request from gblakeney@pikecoga.com, along with the vendor registration packet, or for download below. Please submit bids to:

All bidders must be reputable contractors licensed in the State of Georgia and shall be required to maintain all requisite insurance including but not limited to worker’s compensation insurance. All bids must be in accordance with Georgia Local Government Public Works Construction Law O.C.G.A. 36-91-1 et seq. All Contractors must execute a written oath stating that they have not unlawfully restricted competitive bidding on the project. Any/all contractor(s) awarded the project shall comply with all SAVE/E-Verify requirements and any other vendor or contractor policies as executed by the grant funding program of which Pike County is the recipient of. Pike County and all of its associated entities are an equal opportunity local government.

Competitive bids shall be received by no later than 5:00 p.m. on July 5, 2019. The review of the bids shall be conducted at the regularly scheduled July meeting of the Pike County Agribusiness Authority.  Pike County has the right to reject any one or all bids.

Specifications:

Metal structure of clear span 140 feet wide, by 210 feet long, by 24 feet high for the use of covering a livestock arena on existing footings.
Roof pitch of 2:12
Structure will include gutters and downspouts
Structure will include 16 translucent skylight panels
Structure will include low profile ridge vent
