Pick Pike's POSITION

SOUTHEAST LOCATION

Pike County is positioned for prosperity as a central location for most of the Southeastern U.S. trade region. 80% of America is accessible within two days trucking time, and with convenient navigation to the busiest airport in the world, along with the fastest growing port in the nation, there is no question as to why this location wouldn't be an ideal candidate for any industry participating in global trade and commerce.

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport - 37 Miles
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is the busiest and most efficient airport in the world and, by some accounts, the best in North America. ATL is the economic jewel of Georgia, generating a $34.8 billion economic impact for metro Atlanta and providing more than 63,000 jobs on-site, making it the state’s largest employer.  Hartsfield-Jackson is a global gateway, offering nonstop service to more than 150 domestic and 70 international destinations. These locales include major commercial centers in Europe, Asia, the Caribbean, Africa, and South and Central America. ATL also holds the distinction of being the first airport in the world to serve more than 100 million passengers in a single year.

Port of Savannah - 200 Miles
The largest single-terminal container facility of its kind in North America. Operated by the Georgia Ports Authority and specializing in breakbulk, containers, RoRo, heavy-lift and project cargo, the port is comprised of two modern, deepwater terminals: Ocean Terminal and Garden City Terminal. The Port of Savannah is the fastest-growing and fourth-busiest port in the nation, with 36 weekly vessel calls, more than any other container terminal on the U.S. East Coast. In fiscal year 2017, the Georgia Ports Authority moved 33.4 million tons of cargo, 3.8 million 20-foot equivalent containers and more than 600,000 auto and machinery units. The Georgia Ports Authority supports more than 369,000 jobs throughout the state, contributing $20.4 billion in income, $84.1 million in revenue, and $2.3 billion in state and local taxes to Georgia’s economy.
