DAPCO Strategic Planning

The Development Authority of Pike County (DAPCO) will hold a strategic planning session at the end of February, in which they hope to determine the goals and objectives for moving forward in 2019. The session will be facilitated by Mrs. Carrie Barnes with Georgia EMC, and she will help the Board to identify the areas of what they do well, explore what they can do better, and establish what one big goal is for the community that DAPCO can help facilitate in the upcoming months. 

As business recruitment and existing industry expansion gains momentum within the county it is imperative that the representatives supporting that initiative communicate common goals and measurable success methods. A practical approach to the many growth challenges facing the community at this time will require in-depth conversation, brainstorming, and planning. As DAPCO continues to pursue quality economic development and alleviate the residential tax burden creative strategies must be instituted and employed to ensure that those endeavors are adequately funded and promoted. The 2019 mission statement will be announced at the close of the session.
